Adult and Cadet First Aid Courses in Glanmire

Glanmire Division are pleased to announce that first aid courses for young people and for adults will be held in August and September respectively.

Young people aged 11 to 17 will have the opportunity to learn basic first aid and prepare to become a cadet member of St John Ambulance Ireland on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th August 2016. The course will run on Saturday from 9am to 5pm, and on Sunday from 9am to 12 noon. The cost is €25. St John Glanmire to demonstrate CPR in Midleton on Saturday 25th June.

Members of St John Ambulance Glanmire will carry out CPR demonstrations and showcase equipment and vehicles on Saturday 25th Jhh Market Green Shopping Centre, Midleton, from 10am to 4pm.

Volunteers will be on hand to show the public how they can help in an emergency, and to answer any questions from members of the public.

In addition, further details will be given about an upcoming adult first aid course (beginning 5th September) and cadet first aid course (13th and 14th August) that will be held at Glanmire Division.

Early morning in the Phoenix Park

Our volunteers gathered early on Sunday 12 June 2016 to travel to the Phoenix Park to join with volunteers from other divisions in providing First Aid cover to the SSE Airtricity Irish Runner 5 mile race.

It was not just a very early start but a very wet one. Thankfully the rain stopped and we had a lovely dry few hours.
